The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is a public effort to encourage children and young adults to learn how to code, through annual district-wide competitions hosted by Members of Congress. It is open to all middle and high school students in New York’s 24th Congressional District, and the winning app from our district’s competition will be displayed for one full year in the United States Capitol in Washington D.C. Winners will also be invited to Capitol Hill to participate in a celebration called #HouseOfCode where they will meet their Representatives, demo their apps, and connect with other coders from around the country.
Student registration for the Congressional App Challenge opened on June 24th, 2021. All entries must be submitted online through the Congressional App Challenge by November 1st, 2021. Congressman Katko’s office will not accept any CAC applications. The winning app from NY-24 will be determined by a panel of judges.
