WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. John Katko (R, NY-24) today announced the reintroduction of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, legislation that would protect pregnant workers from workplace discrimination. Rep. Katko introduced the bipartisan measure alongside U.S. Reps. Jerrold Nadler (D, NY-10), Lucy McBath (D, GA-6), Jaime Herrera Beutler (R, WA-3), and Bobby Scott (D, VA-3).

Katko: We Must Ensure Vaccines Reach Underserved Communities in Central New York

SYRACUSE, NY—  Following an announcement this week by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) that they will supply select Federally Qualified Health Center Programs (FQHCs) with COVID-19 vaccinesU.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24) today urged the agencies to include Syracuse Community Health Center (SCHC) and East Hill Medical Center in the program.

Katko (R, NY-24) today announced the reintroduction of the Supporting State and Local Leaders Act, legislation that would provide budgetary relief to state and local governments by making them eligible for emergency paid leave payroll tax credits. Rep. Katko introduced this bipartisan measure alongside U.S. Reps. Brad Schneider (D, IL-10) and Diana DeGette (D, CO-1).

John Katko (NY-24) was this week named to three subcommittees on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure for the 117th Congress that will be critical to addressing Central New York’s infrastructure needs.  Rep. Katko will continue serving on the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit and the Subcommittee on Aviation, where he served since last Congress. Additionally, he will serve on the Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment.

 Importantly, serving on these subcommittees will allow Katko to continue his strong advocacy for the I-81 rebuild, as well as the vast water infrastructure needs in Central New York.
