John Katko (NY-24)today announced that he spoke directly with Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, on addressing COVID-19 vaccine distribution and supply issues in Central New York and across the nation. Rep. Katko discussed these issues with Dr. Fauci on a joint call with the Republican Governance Group and Blue Dog Coalition, Congressional Caucuses comprised of moderate Republicans and Democrats, respectively.

This legislation is being introduced on the eleventh anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in the Citizens United v. FECcase.

"I am grateful to all of those who have reached out regarding my safety today.  The support and concern expressed is humbling. I am in a safe location.

"The attack on the U.S. Capitol is shameful and completely unacceptable. It has endangered the lives of our law enforcement and countless others. This is anything but a peaceful protest. The violence must stop immediately. President Trump must take a more forceful stand to end this, now.”

“I am praying for a peaceful conclusion.  We are a strong country. We will recover from this and we certainly must learn from it.”

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24) today announced eight measures he authored have become law following the enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), bipartisan, bicameral legislation that authorizes the budget and expenditures for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) for Fiscal Year 2021. Last month, Rep. Katko voted in favor of this legislation as it passed the U.S. House of Representatives.
